Rushing Pushes ACHA Women Past Lindenwood Belleville, 2-1, on Friday

BELLEVILLE, Ill.--Sophomore goalie Allison Dungey stopped 19 shots and junior forward Jessie Rushing scored the game winner on Friday night as the Adrian College ACHA Women's team earned a come from behind road win at Lindenwood University Belleville 2-1.

After a scoreless first period Lindenwood struck first on a goal by Reagan Fuller, Dungey would not allow another to earn her 9th win against 2 defeats. Junior defender Paige Fuoco tied the game with an assist from Rushing before the end of the period and the two teams went to the locker room tied at one after 40 minutes.

Rushing's game winner came on a pass from freshman forward Nicole Paradis with 15:17 remaining in the 3rd and the Bulldogs held Lindenwood off the rest of the way to earn the triumph.

Despite the close score the Bulldogs carried the play most of the evening outshooting Lindenwood 40-20 while being frustrated by a fine performance in the Lindenwood cage by Firth Bidois who made 38 saves in the contest.

The Bulldogs win ups their record to 12-2-0 while Lindenwood falls to 9-2-2. The two traditional powers will complete their two game series on Saturday night in Lindenwood.
