The University of Kansas led the University Division with 12 total awards, including four “Best in the Nation” and three “Best Covers”. West Virginia University finished second with 11 awards, followed by Kansas State University and the University of Kentucky with nine. Michigan State University rounded out the top five with eight awards.

The College Division was led by Johnson County Community College with 15 awards, including five “Best in the Nation” and two “Best Covers”. Slippery Rock University and Washburn University finished tied for second with 11. Tarleton State University (eight) and Christopher Newport University (seven) rounded out the top five.

Adrian led all Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association members and listed second among NCAA Division III institutions with four total awards, including "Best in the Nation" Softball guide cover and ninth in the nation in the fall/winter/spring poster category (Men's and Women's Bowling). Additionally, Adrian placed third and fourth in the District 4 fall/winter/spring posters contest with bowling and women's basketball, respectively.

This is the first time in school history that the Bulldogs have earned national awards in the CoSIDA publications contest. The 2017-18 athletics communications staff included Director Patrick Stewart and former assistant director Corey Graham, plus former senior graphic designer Christina Butler in the Adrian College Marketing Communications and Public Relations Office.

"This is a tremendous honor to be recognized by your peers as well as professionals in the publications industry," said Stewart, who in his career has garnered 11 "Best in the Nation" awards among 31 national citations for athletic publications and writing excellence from CoSIDA. "I can speak for Christina and Corey in that we take great pride in our work and are proud to represent the College with this national recognition."

Bulldogs athletics director Michael Duffy added, "Patrick Corey and Christina have exceeded in my expectations for presenting professional material for our 44 sports. The pride and exceptional work put into all of our programs and posters has paid off for this department. I appreciate the creativity that goes into every piece that this group puts out. They have set the standard that we want to continue to achieve year-in and year-out.

"I congratulate them for a job well done."
